Toyota is ready to launch the 2016 RAV4 hybrid release date soon which predicted this fall. It was proven by the latest 2015 New York auto show ago. They revealed this Prius successor after waiting fifteen years. By this pre-launching, the RAV4 will fill the hybrids line up for Toyota and it is possible for this car to join other seven hybrids to hit the international dealerships in fall 2015. For your information, the new RAV4 comes with refreshed designs and models. You will never thought before how efficient this car against other green vehicles these days.
2016 RAV4 Hybrid Features
Let us start this 2016 RAV4 Hybrid review from the bones or chassis. Did you still remember with Lexus NX crossover? This car is one of the inspirations for Toyota in refreshing their RAV4. For engine, it has similar options with the NX300h. It lays down a 2.5 L Atkinson four-cylinder engine which blended with an electric motor in every axle of this hybrid car. Toyota also applies the new CVT transmission in every new lineup including the RAV4. You can choose two drive system options; FWD and AWD, for the NX but you cannot do the same with RAV4 because Toyota only sticks for AWD.
Based on that 2016 RAV4 Hybrid review, we found there is no front-wheel drive system for this car. Perhaps, Toyota learned from the Lexus NX300h which has FWD system last year. Some reviewers complained about this un-fun drive system for hybrid even though the NX is able to reach 0-60 mph for 8.3 seconds. I believe the same numbers belong to the new RAV4 too with its AWD more or less. Meanwhile, the same mpg is also predicted at 33 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway. It is reasonable since the same engine options are carried by NX. But, we cannot close the better expectations for this new Toyota hybrid though.
2016 RAV4 Hybrid Expectations
If you are still waiting the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid release date, you have to face that there are no LE and SE trims for this hybrid. Toyota insists to stand with XLE and Limited edition only. Although this will be happened this fall, we can still expect brilliant and top-level interior for the RAV4. This is answered by Toyota with 4.2 inches TFT touchscreen just for gauge cluster. Meanwhile, the dashboard will be featured by seven inches touchscreen. There are so many high technologies here inside the cabin. Although Toyota is still mum now, they cannot deny the deadline on this fall.
