There are some interesting things happening around the launch and release of 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe. Basically, Mercy hasn’t done anything creative (or even smart) when they make the vehicle. They were trying to be smart and unique by releasing the half SUV and half coupe with the X6. The design is similar to the X5, only bigger, with swoopy rear side end that compromises the usage of the headroom and the cargo space. And then, they continue production with the GLE and the coupe line. As if it weren’t enough, they come up with the X3 design, followed by the creation of X4. And now, they are coming with the GLC Coupe.
2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe Development and Plan
If you are wondering what’s the different between the GLC Coupe and the GLC Class, the answer is: there is basically none. Everything is basically cosmetic – which isn’t much to consider about. The rear side has been designed to look similar to the S-class and the GLE-class coupe. What about the dimension of the new 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe? Well, it has longer and lower construction – with 3 inches addition on the length and 1.6 inches on the height. Features and engine arrangements are also similar for both rides.
2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe Options and Trims
For this line, the coupe will be available in two trim options: the GLC300 and also GLC43. Whereas the GLC300 comes with the rear wheel driving system, don’t expect the same for the coupe. The coupe will also come with sportier suspension, affecting the height of the ride along with the dampening effect. For the coupe, there will be adjustable steering wheel with speed sensitive technology so it will be somehow lively and responsive to the handle.
When it comes to design and comfort, you can expect a lot from Mercy. More features, including the safety features, are included within the new addition. The interior cabin will be comfy and plush and the exterior design will be super attractive – as you can expect from a world-class brand like Mercedes Benz.
2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe Engine Arrangements
In the GLC class, there will be only a slight difference between the two trims. For the GLC300, it will be coming with the four cylinder turbocharged engine with 241 hp of power, paired with the all wheel driving system and automatic nine speed transmission. For the 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe, the engine arrangement is with V6 3.0 liter engine delivering 362 ho of power but without the rear wheel driving system. It is able to reach 60 mph within 4.8 seconds with 130 mph for the top speed. Yes, it is pretty lousy but that’s the best that you can get.
2017 Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe Price and Release Date
There hasn’t been any official confirmation about the release date or the price tag. Although Mercy said that the ride should be available early in 2017, they haven’t mentioned any date just yet.
