If you see the image of 2017 Ford Kuga and you think that there is something familiar about the design, well…you probably have seen it a lot of times – only in another name. In Europe, the Kuga is known as the Ford Escape and everything is just the same – with the sturdy stance and the solid buff construction. The release of the new Kuga has been mentioned during November 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show where the company has also shown some of the designs and dimension.
2017 Ford Kuga Exterior Design
The new Kuga will get the same upgrade and update, just like the one received by Ford Escape and the upgrade is borrowed from the Edge. On the front side, the nose will be more masculine and pronounced with the bigger trapezoidal grille that has a chrome lining with the center logo. There will be bi-xenon LED headlights on the side, looking matching with the front side fascia and the redesigned bumper, integrated to the redesigned fog lights and air intakes.
The side of the new 2017 Ford Kuga will also get the same updates with shiny chrome running on the crossover SUV. On the back, there will be the redesigned rear bumper with taillights. There is a retractable towing bar that can be hid automatically below the rear side bumper. A new silver diffuser will be integrated with the chrome finished exhaust twin pipes with its round shaped tips. It seems that there won’t be any change on the dimension. The SUV will be coming with 17 inch wheels from alloy but you can also choose the 18 or 19 inch types.
2017 Ford Kuga Interior Cabin
What about the cabin? Well, the exterior design will also affect the style and design of the interior cabin. With two roof rails and a panoramic sunroof, you can expect a comfy and bright interior cabin. Functionality and style are improved. For instance, there will be a new steering wheel with basic design from Focus and you can choose the heated type as the optional. It is mounted and included with the climate control switchgear. Expect to see the new and reconfigured center console with the space saving smart arrangement – the cup holders are removed further to the gear lever. Because of the smart arrangement, there is an additional storage tray on the above side of the armrest. A new port for the USB is also included within the upgrade.
2017 Ford Kuga Engine
There are several configurations for the power of 2017 Ford Kuga. Aside from the TDCi 1.5 liter engine that is delivering 118 hp of power with the front wheel driving system, the car will also include the diesel TDCi 2.0 liter engine that is delivering 148 hp of power with either the front or all wheel driving system. If you choose the one with Intelligent all wheel driving system, the output can reach 180 hp.
It is predicted that the new 2017 Ford Kuga will start at around $24,000 with launching happening by the end of 2017.
