2016 Honda Ridgeline redesign becomes one of the most demanding cars today on the market scene as a fresh air pickup truck. Honda claims that this is not usual truck which only concern on how much stuff you can carry on it, but you will be offered by SUV features inside the cabin. The best part is about the hybrid plans which also implemented under its hood. The current model needs some refreshments for its successor and Honda of course knows about this for their sake in the truck’s market. Let us see some expectations from car enthusiasts though this post.
2016 Honda Ridgeline Redesign Overview
At glance, you will be mentioned Pilot when looking at spied photos of 2016 Honda Ridgeline Redesign. I understand that because Honda stated this truck is shared the design of Honda Pilot crossover. You can see at its frame and unibody. They are similar but in a different type of vehicle. In other words, this truck is not a truck which fully focuses at large size but it is the pairs of Honda’s ATV and others. Even the interior looks spacious but the bed will direct us into its main rivals who have full-size truck such as Ram 1500 and the legendary Ford F-150.

The 2016 Honda Ridgeline will use 3.5 Liter V6 engine as same as outgoing Ridgeline. It will deliver the same horsepower at 250 horsepower. I believe Honda won’t give too many changes for the engine because the time gap between previous model and the new one is only two year. They have no time to develop new engine. However, it does not mean they did not able to use V8 engine as the options or higher trims even many customers complain about the decision. The five-speed automatic gearbox is the best pair for this engine because six-speed is not suitable for a pickup truck. Moreover, five-speed brings more acceleration when facing a winding road.
I offended about hybrid version of 2016 Honda Ridgeline redesign earlier. It will be better for Honda to realize this rumor because hybrid truck will be a new type in this modern era. What is the real statement is that Honda wants to reduce engine power through their next project including Ridgeline. So, hybrid is the best choice for this problem rather than diesel. They have too many diesel cars right now. But, probably diesel truck is their best choice to play safe in the market scene.
